Give Me One More Day...

Hey everyone - it's Tuesday and there isn't a new episode up. I know. We're sorry. The crappy thing is that we have it all done, we've just been having major server/FTP issues. We're working to get this resolved, but it's going to take until tonight (most likely) to get this week's episode online. Sorry for the delay. To make up for it, we may add an extra page or two for you in the coming weeks. --the creator

WONDERCON!

Hey Everyone out in cyberspace - who's excited that Con season has begun? We know we are. In fact, we've been planning our convention stops since last year. So, we start our season this weekend in San Francisco at Wondercon. If you're planning on attending, shoot us an e-mail (thecreator@heartlessdark.com) and we can meet up. We're also planning our pilgrimage to the geek mecca of Comic Con, as well. See you then!

The Nine

And, we begin. Starting today, and posting daily for the next two weeks, we're exploring "The Nine." And, no, not that awful Daniel Day Lewis movie - the nine hearts that were killed before our story even started.

Their backstories help us lay the foundation of the rest of the story (which is speeding toward its conclusion). Today was just the introduction. And, you'll notice, there were only two pages. Each of these interludes is different lengths, depending on the story. So, sit back and come back each day.

We'll post one a day until Saturday, take the weekend off, and then post next Monday through Friday, coming back the following Tuesday to start Book Three. Pretty neat, huh? Months worth of story in two, action/story-packed weeks. Enjoy!

The Beginning of the End

Well, almost. So, Book Two just ended. What do you think? Not what you were expecting, I bet, but trust me, it signals the end. Feel free to post comments and thoughts on our Facebook group wall. So, next week we'll have another recap (for those of you just joining us). And, as an extra special treat, the following week, we'll be posting a new interlude EVERYDAY (M-F) for the next two weeks! That's right, ladies and gentlemen, that is 10 Interludes (!) in 10 days. Up until now, the interludes have been hints at the backstory - well, our new interludes fill in some big gaps, right up to the first episode. We've got some GREAT artists coming in to draw each interlude (and I'm still doing a few), so be sure to come back every day once they begin so you don't miss anything, becuase after that - BOOK THREE BEGINS.

A New Year!

Okay, so, sorry for the lack of news over the past six months or so. We figured you'd rather get scheduled updates to the comic than the "News" section. With the new year in place, we've got some cool things coming up.

First off, I am putting the finishing touches on Book II right now. That means, in a few short weeks, we enter the final chapter of the series. But before we do that, we're bringing in a slew of guest artists to illustrate several interludes you will not want to miss. Not only are they going to rock, we're going to post them one a day for two weeks - that's over 2 1/2 months worth on content posted in TWO WEEKS. Pretty cool, huh?

We've already got book three outlined and are hard at work - and trust me, you'll want to read this. So, catch up, invite your friends, and start tuning in, cause the last third is the funnest part of the ride.

We'll be at Comic-Con, Will You?

Hey Faithful Readers!,

It's that time of year again. The happiest time, I might add. Time for the San Diego Comic-Con! If you've never been, come next year. If you have, you know why we love it so much.

We don't have a booth this year, but we will be out amongst everyone. We'll have all five of the crew there in HD t-shirts (look for the symbol on our chests).

If you read the site and are going to be there, shoot us an e-mail and we'll meet up. Heck, we might even sketch you a picture or two for fun.

Contact us if you're coming, and we'll see you there!
